Sea Park Detention Pond

The Brevard County Watershed Management Program purchased the abandoned Sea Park Sewer Plant and worked with the Parks and Recreation Department to create a two-acre regional detention pond, soccer fields, a park and a playground. Water stored in the pond is used to irrigate the soccer fields. This pond serves a drainage basin of 61 acres of residential area rpoviding detention of pollutants prior to effluent outflowing to the Banana River.
