Shannon Avenue ImprovementsErosion from this section of ditch had been contributing to pollution in the M-1 Canal system and Indian River Lagoon. The City of West Melbourne piped an open ditch along Shannon Avenue and added a baffle box at the outlet of the pipe to catch sediment from the 18-acre upstream watershed.
